Position Overview
This role involves a variety of essential functions within the accounting department, focusing on accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Tasks
    Responsible for coding invoices and addressing related internal inquiries. Prepare and record general ledger journal entries while maintaining organized records and files. Ensure adherence to accounting procedures for assigned responsibilities.
  • Reporting Duties
    Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes for a designated legal entity, ensuring timely and precise reporting. Prepare, review, and disseminate monthly operational and executive financial reports. Reconcile and input monthly financial data into the Group's consolidation system.
  • Financial Analysis
    Examine monthly financial statements and investigate notable variances against budgeted and forecasted figures for assigned business units. Analyze and reconcile various general ledger balance sheet accounts. Generate concise and accurate analytical reports as requested by management, providing valuable insights to the Management, Sales team, or Department heads.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    Assist in the development of budgets and periodic forecasts for assigned business units and departments. Support the input and reconciliation of budget and forecast data into the Group's consolidation system.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    Collaborate with the Cost Team to complete the annual physical inventory for the legal entity at off-site locations. Engage in special projects or other necessary tasks to foster positive business and working relationships.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred experience in public accounting.
  • Six to seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA Certification or CPA Candidate status is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HFM is preferred.

Language Proficiency
Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of a second language, such as Spanish or French, is a plus.

Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations. Candidates should be adept at defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.

Computer Skills
Proficient in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional bending and stretching. The work environment is typical of an office setting, with standard lighting and temperature conditions.
