Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the Triumph Actuation Systems - Clemmons Paint Shop by overseeing the masking, surface preparation, and priming/painting processes in accordance with work specifications and regulatory, company, customer, and manufacturer guidelines. Employees will utilize pneumatic tools and equipment to perform painting on aerospace components and assemblies.

Major Accountabilities:
1. Maintain the information base by keeping Paint Shop job and safety records and filing systems updated.
2. Meet production deadlines by determining priorities, organizing work schedules, and achieving job results promptly.
3. Coordinate Paint Shop inventory needs by ordering supplies and maintaining all Paint Shop equipment.
4. Ensure a safe and clean working environment by cleaning the paint booth area and adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
5. Provide the necessary painting and processing skills to manufacture a quality product on schedule within designated customer and company specifications and cost constraints.
6. Process and prime/paint products.
7. Clean and mask components according to internal and customer process specifications along with verbal instructions.
8. Apply preparation and painting skills that lead to a high-quality finished product.
9. Select and mix coating materials, demonstrating a basic understanding of various types of paints, primers, thinners, and other chemicals associated with aerospace coatings.
10. Utilize measuring tools associated with the paint shop to ensure product compliance.
11. Understand industry and quality requirements related to product coatings, as well as customer and military specifications, engineering drawings, and paperwork completion.
12. Use HVLP Paint Gun systems to apply coatings to products.
13. Understand coating and cure times and schedule work to meet production requirements.
14. Represent the Paint department and be responsible for Nadcap, customer, and internal audits.
15. Capable of reading, interpreting, and writing procedures, work instructions, and work-related forms.
16. Maintain, train, and ensure proper PPE usage and safety within the Paint department.
17. Willingness to embrace and apply Lean initiatives and SPC in the work area and support Continuous Improvement activities.
18. Contribute to team efforts by maintaining a positive outlook.
19. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
20. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.

21. Ability to work in front of customers and auditors with a high level of integrity and understanding of the painting process.

Qualifications:

Physical Limitations: Work may require bending, carrying, climbing stairs, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, and continuous or prolonged hand and arm movements while sitting or standing.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma
Minimum Years of Experience Required: Some aerospace coatings painting experience preferred.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to pass a respirator physical.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• Two years of experience in an aerospace environment preferred.
• Strong painting aptitude.
• Flexibility to changing tasks and workload.
• Self-motivated, creative, team-oriented, resourceful, adaptable, results-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, military, and customer specifications.
• Proficient in using HVLP spray equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Word & Excel.
• Familiarity with AS9100 & NADCAP processes and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Work from blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, work orders, sketches, and oral instructions.
• Perform a wide variety of painting tasks requiring special techniques and finishes.
• Prepare parts for painting by performing various operations such as cleaning and masking to ensure proper adherence and application of primers, anti-corrosives, and similar protective coatings as required.
• Adhere to all applicable safety and operational procedures and directives.
• Sign off on all associated paperwork and submit work for inspection.
• Perform good housekeeping tasks in the area.
• Report all malfunctions, defects, and damages of equipment, material, and product to the supervisor.
• Perform Production Accountability duties associated with processing, verification, quality auditing, and inspection of assemblies, parts, and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
