Job Summary
We seek a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP to join our team. As a key member, you will evaluate patient communication levels, develop targeted therapy plans, and provide individualized support to enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' speech or language difficulties and determine the need for continued therapy services.
- Determine the extent of communication problems through standardized tests and basic reading and vocalizing tasks.
- Teach patients alternative communication methods, such as sign language, and instruct other health team personnel on therapeutic exercises.
- Document progress and clinical notes, noting patient response to therapy, and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
Requirements
- Master's degree as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP
- Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP
- Minimum of one year (1) direct patient care experience preferably in-home care environment
- Current CPR certification
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and current automobile insurance
