Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team at LTC Language Solutions. As an ASL Interpreter, you will play a critical role in facilitating communication between Deaf consumers and healthcare providers in the Denver, CO area.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires on-site, in-person appointments as an ASL interpreter, with weekly assignments needed Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM. You will accurately interpret in various medical and community settings, build relationships with Deaf consumers, and work with our ASL scheduling team to provide guidance on assigning ASL interpreters.

Responsibilities
  • Represent LTC Language Solutions in on-site, in-person appointments as an ASL interpreter.
  • Accurately interpret in various medical and community settings.
  • Build relationships with Deaf consumers.
  • Work with our ASL scheduling team to provide guidance on assigning ASL interpreters.
  • Ensure language access is provided.
  • Interpret in a variety of settings, including medical appointments, educational and business settings, counseling sessions, and other community events and appointments.
  • Learn the ins and outs of working with an interpreting agency.
  • Build relationships with LTC's interpreters and clients to provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in American Sign Language or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an ASL interpreter.
  • NIC/ CI & CT certifications.
  • A strong understanding of the RID Interpreter Code of Ethics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
