Water and Wastewater Engineer Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Civil Engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design, planning, and implementation of water and wastewater projects. Your role will involve managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

**Responsibilities**

* Designing, developing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as water and sewage systems, and wastewater treatment plants.
* Undertaking complex calculations related to water and wastewater systems to ensure efficient design and implementation.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and other professionals to develop the most effective water/wastewater solutions.
* Conducting research to determine project requirements and standards.
* Preparing public reports on environmental impact, bid proposals, deeds, and budgets.
* Managing water/wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Evaluating potential risks and making decisions based on your expert understanding of water/wastewater engineering principles.
* Ensuring all designs and projects comply with industry regulations and environmental standards.

**Requirements**

* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
* A minimum of 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater management.
* Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing wastewater treatment plants and drainage systems.
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and water/wastewater treatment processes.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in using civil engineering software and tools.
* A valid professional engineer's (PE) license.
