Position Overview:

The role of the Spare Parts Coordinator; Packaging Maintenance is crucial for overseeing the procurement and distribution of spare parts to the maintenance and operational teams, ensuring efficient repair processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organized spare parts locations and ensure equipment is stored in optimal condition with minimal oversight.
  • Manage inventory levels of spare parts, including new stock items and inventory targets.
  • Interpret parts breakdowns and schematics to locate necessary part information.
  • Engage with suppliers and vendors to acquire quotes for required parts.
  • Track and manage incoming parts orders.
  • Continuously seek alternative sources for parts and suppliers offering competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate professionally with the Maintenance department to source and distribute replacement parts as needed.
  • Work closely with the Packaging department to provide necessary replacement parts from inventory.
  • Monitor and develop preventive maintenance and equipment rebuild kits.
  • Input part data into the maintenance management system.
  • Document budgetary and expenditure information for management analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a college degree or trade school program.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical packaging is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Ability to interpret equipment records effectively.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficient communication skills in English.

Skills and Competencies:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Understanding of facility and packaging equipment operations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Coordination skills necessary for operating specific machinery.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:

  • As required for the position.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Work conditions may vary from a warehouse environment to a production floor and office setting, with varying noise levels.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) is necessary.
  • Occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Frequent requirements to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, push, and crouch.
  • Constant use of hands and fingers for handling controls and reaching is required.
  • Vision abilities must include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
