Who We Are Looking For

We seek a compassionate and innovative Admissions Specialist to coordinate all activities associated with the admission of prospective program attendees. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, thrive in a dynamic environment, and respect confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and record inquiry calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Collect and verify patient insurance information, relaying it back to callers in a knowledgeable way.
  • Identify callers who meet admission criteria and facilitate the admission process.
  • Obtain necessary demographic, referral source, and clinical information for complete and accurate documentation.
  • Provide callers who do not meet admission criteria with alternative treatment options based on their required level of care.
  • Communicate with patients' families about facility policies and information.
  • Prepare daily reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience handling high-volume incoming calls.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Respect for confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Previous experience in admissions, chemical dependency, eating disorders, and/or behavioral health preferred.
