Overview

Affinity Hospice is a leading provider of compassionate care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, RN to join our team and lead our branch operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure high-quality patient care and business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation guidelines, as well as Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Lead a team of professionals in maintaining high standards of clinical practice and business ethics.
  • Provide exceptional service to patients, families, referral sources, and colleagues.
  • Monitor business operations to ensure financial stability and make data-driven decisions.
  • Participate in the Administrator on-call rotation and oversee operational progress toward strategic goals.
  • Evaluate hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives, ensuring compliance with our Performance Improvement program.
  • Address patient, employee, or customer concerns and maintain open channels of communication.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and staff supervision, and participate in the hiring process and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement staff development programs, including orientation, in-service, continuing education, and competency testing.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain minutes.
  • Ensure timely and effective Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and record-keeping.
  • Review and update policies, forms, and job descriptions with staff.
  • Direct staff in the performance of their duties, including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, and provision of service to patients.
  • Ensure services provided by other agencies are authorized by hospice.
  • Review and approve invoices for timely forwarding to the corporate AP.
  • Ensure regular, complete reports are received by the Governing Body.
  • Ensure adequate space, equipment, and supplies are available.
  • Assist team members as needed to ensure high-level service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hospice management experience.
  • Registered Nurse with a valid license in the state and unencumbered.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of hospice federal and state guidelines, as well as Medicare and Medicaid hospice payor requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, direct, and motivate professional and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the community and possess knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
