Allan Hancock College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemistry Professor to join our Life and Physical Sciences Department. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and advise students
- Plan and organize instructional materials
- Participate in program review and curriculum development
- Review and revise course content as necessary
- Maintain office hours for student consultation
- Participate in department and college activities
- Maintain class and examination schedules, grade and attendance records
- Master's degree in Chemistry or related field
- OR Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and Master's degree in Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering
- OR Equivalent as outlined in Board Policy 7211
- Experience in teaching chemistry courses
- Ability to use current technology in instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
