Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Build, support, testing, and implementation of billing data in Epic used for financial reporting, including Epic General Ledger Build, Cost Center Assignment, etc.
  • Functional Specifications: Prepare and execute functional system and program specifications using structured methodology.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as both a subject matter expert and liaison to Information Systems, and the departments that use data in Epic used for financial reporting.
  • Advanced Discussion: Facilitate advanced-level discussion(s) between revenue cycle, financial, clinical healthcare operations (both ambulatory and acute), and Information Systems.
  • Functional Specifications: Prepare and execute functional system and program specifications using structured methodology, as it relates to Epic financial data.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned project teams and department initiatives, develop test scripts, conduct testing, support application upgrades and project go lives, as it relates to Epic financial data.
  • Application and Analytic Skills: Utilize advanced application and analytic skills to design, build, and test solutions to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Liaison: Responsible for other non-Epic Financial platforms and systems as assigned (in a liaison capacity).
Requirements
  • Epic Certification: Epic HB or PB Certification Required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of Epic Resolute HB or PB build, support, and implementation experience.
  • Understanding of Epic Revenue Cycle: Solid understanding of Epic Revenue Cycle workflows, especially as it relates to transaction-based data (charges, payments, and adjustments).
  • Understanding of Epic Batch Scheduler: Solid understanding of Epic batch scheduler, Epic data extract and reporting tools, including Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer.
  • Understanding of File Formats: Solid understanding of basic file formats for the purpose of integrating data from Epic to other platforms.
  • Understanding of Epic Facility Build Structure: Solid understanding of Epic Facility Build Structure, Cost Center Assignment, and General Ledger build.
Additional Requirements
  • Healthcare Financial and Revenue Cycle Concepts: Solid understanding of healthcare financial and revenue cycle concepts, including debit/credit logic, general ledger, etc.
