Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, and reporting patient history summaries.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
  • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice and provide education on imaging procedures.
  • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the provider.
  • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider.
Requirements
  • Current Limited X-Ray license with experience in extremities and orthopedics.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program or national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
  • 6+ months working as an MA in an Orthopedic setting.
  • 1+ year of experience in an outpatient medical or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture.
  • Experience with wound care and cast care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years working as a MA in outpatient Orthopedics.
  • Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
  • Experience with Allscripts.
  • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
