Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced MEP Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. This role is ideal for individuals with a robust background in cost estimation and electrical systems. As a vital contributor, you will be tasked with creating precise cost estimates for our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As an MEP Estimator, your duties will encompass:

1. Developing and reviewing comprehensive cost estimates and proposals for MEP construction projects, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
2. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect all necessary information for estimates.
3. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
4. Evaluating the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs against bids as the project progresses.
5. Engaging with clients, vendors, and personnel from other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
6. Conducting risk assessments for the company's bidding processes.
7. Staying updated on industry trends and new technologies that may influence cost and time estimates.
8. Presenting prepared estimates to clients and key stakeholders, articulating findings to aid in decision-making.
9. Maintaining a detailed database of cost pricing and estimating metrics.
10. Managing multiple estimates concurrently, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of experience in MEP estimating or a related field within the construction sector.
3. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, systems, market trends, and pricing.
4. Proficiency in cost management and electrical systems.
5. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimation.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex cost information.
7. Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
8. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
9. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
