We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our team at Alternative Community Resource Programs Inc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual labor tasks under the direct supervision of our Program Director. This role requires physical strength, agility, and the ability to work in different conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials and equipment.
- Assist in construction projects by digging trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, and operating basic construction tools.
- Support demolition tasks by tearing down structures, removing debris, and ensuring proper disposal of materials.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks/trailers.
- Maintain a clean work environment by cleaning up debris and disposing of waste materials.
- Operate machinery and equipment as required.
- Assist with assembling and disassembling equipment and structures.
- Sort and organize materials and supplies.
- Follow safety regulations and wear protective gear.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks in buildings.
- Transport materials and equipment using company vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment (preferred).
- Team player with good communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and standing.
- Ability to lift heavy loads unassisted.
Clearances:
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Clearances for Criminal History, FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse History, and Mandated Reporter Training.
