Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS Bread. As a Baker, you will be responsible for leading our freshness commitment and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products. You will work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes and maintaining a clean and organized bakery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead our freshness commitment by baking high-quality bread and pastries
- Work as part of a small team to maintain a clean and organized bakery
- Follow carefully crafted recipes to ensure consistency and quality
- Be responsible for reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens
- You are an early riser who can work independently or as part of a small team
- You have pride in what COBS Bread offers the community
- You have a great attitude and good organizational skills
- You share in a commitment to the success of your team, the bakery, and to your own development
- Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Frequent turning and reaching
- Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending
- Ability to lift at least 15 pounds to a height of 5 and a half feet
- Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
- The satisfaction of baking from scratch, and pride in sharing that product with the community.
