Job Title: Building Superintendent/Manager

The Building Superintendent/Manager is a key member of the E.V. Bishoff team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial properties. This role requires a high level of expertise in maintenance and repair, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversee all maintenance and repair work on assigned properties, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance and repair issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to tenants, staff members, and visitors, ensuring a clean and safe environment in all areas of the community.
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Inspect work performed by subcontractors, such as cleaning companies and flooring installers, to ensure high-quality results.
  • Reporting and Administration: Submit regular building walkthrough reports to management and communicate with the office manager to stock the building with day-to-day supplies.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial building setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and basic computer skills, including email and video conferencing.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
