Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our team at Creative Times Academy. The ideal candidate will have experience working with toddlers and a genuine passion for early childhood education. The Toddler Teacher will create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a warm, welcoming, and organized classroom environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's development and well-being.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess each child's progress and behavior, and provide individualized support as needed.
  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom behavior in a positive and constructive manner that promotes a culture of respect and responsibility.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records of each child's development and activities.
  • Classroom Maintenance: Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
  • Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to curriculum planning.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 lbs, capable of kneeling, bending, and engaging in activities on the floor with children, must be able to handle the physical demands of a busy classroom environment.
