REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must fulfill the necessary qualifications, including DCF 45 Clock Hours, a CDA, or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Candidates should be personable, dependable, and focused on child development.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and professionally with children, families, and fellow staff members.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the guidance of the Site Director and/or Assistant Director, the Educator will oversee the following:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all enrolled children, supervising them during all activities.
  • Assist in upholding appropriate standards within the center.
  • Manage daily operations, fostering a harmonious and efficient work environment.
  • Curriculum: planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of activities such as arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor and outdoor games, snacks, lunch, and rest periods as directed by the Director. Lesson plans, curriculum outlines, and supply requests must be completed punctually.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with classroom colleagues, program staff, and families.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and other required work-related events.
  • Assist in maintaining and testing emergency response plans periodically.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, fulfilling the mandated yearly hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Determined based on certifications, degrees earned, and years of experience.
