POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Inventory Management Specialist role presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a background in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and ERP systems. This position is integral to the Order Fulfillment Team, focusing on the receipt and tracking of feedstock inventory across various transportation modes including Rail, Truck, Pipeline, Marine, and Tank Inventory. The Specialist will collaborate closely with Production Planning, Logistics, and Commercial departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all inventory transactions are entered and updated accurately and promptly in Oracle and related systems.
  • Monitor TPC Inventory and its movements to support daily and monthly material balance reports.
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned suppliers, providing coordination and transactional support for feedstock receipts while fostering strong business relationships through timely and accurate service.
  • Maintain an up-to-date summary of all Tank, Railcar, Truck, Pipeline, and Marine Inventory at the facility and external terminals to support Production Planning, Logistics, and Commercial teams.
  • Address supplier inquiries and technical questions, resolving issues directly or coordinating with other team members as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures for receiving, shipping documentation, and quality data capture to facilitate efficient invoice processing.
  • Track any delays in receipts and keep the status updated in Oracle and scheduling applications.
  • Utilize Oracle queries and reports to analyze data, measuring improvements in Supply Chain processes, and coordinate with manufacturing to address discrepancies.
  • Serve as a backup for other Inventory Specialists as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for standardizing processes and fully utilize Oracle and associated systems to manage feedstock and finished goods, ensuring daily balance resolution.
  • Advocate for changes aimed at enhancing supply chain performance.
  • This role is crucial for month-end financial closing and may require occasional availability outside of regular hours.
  • Be available periodically on weekends or holidays to update preloaded railcars for Customer Service as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field such as science or business, or equivalent experience in a closely related technical area.
  • Proficiency in an ERP system, with a preference for Oracle experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Develop professional expertise and apply company policies to resolve various issues.
  • Analyze situations or data requiring consideration of multiple factors.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhance knowledge of organizational processes and customer needs.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills across various organizational levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong expertise in ERP systems, particularly Oracle.
  • Experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refining industries is preferred.
