Job Summary:
Our Clinical Nurse II position involves providing professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines, and utilizing clinical expertise to resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care
- Assess needs of patient and family
- Develop and initiate plan of care, involving patient and family
- Recommend interventions
- Evaluate plan of care
- Clinical expertise and knowledge is such that individual can resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision
- Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served
- Lead process improvement initiatives in their own unit or participate in facility team
- Precept new employees/students or attend formal preceptor workshop and is willing to precept
- Reviews clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor
- Provide four contact hours of educational activities, excluding basic patient education
- Contribute to development and evaluation of unit orientation program
- Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate for this role has a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, holds Tennessee State RN licensure, and has CPR certification.
$55,000 - $65,000 per year
