Eaton Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate P&R to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate P&R to setup and operate NC and CNC machines and conventional machines in the Casting Cells. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating, and deburring operations to produce explosion-proof parts of various materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and operate NC and CNC machines and conventional machines in the Casting Cells to perform various operations.
  • Operate machines including single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers, milling machines, parts washers, and deburring grinders.
  • Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances.
  • Set controls and perform manual data input functions as required, review operation data sheets, parts program, tape readouts, and prints, and change collets and/or chucks; load and unload parts; load, unload, and adjust tools as necessary.
  • Check first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges; gauge periodically and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells.
  • Operate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required.
  • Maintain work area, machines, and control units in a clean, neat, and orderly condition and follow 5-S's principles.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years' previous work experience in machine setup and operation.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of work experience with NC & CNC machine setup and operation.
  • Fork Truck experience.
Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, charts, and tables.
You should be proficient in:
  • CNC Tooling.
  • Troubleshooting CNC Machines.
  • Manual Machining Skills.
Machines & technologies you'll use:
  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis).
  • CNC Grinder.
