**Position Overview:**

The Cardiac Monitoring Technician plays a crucial role in promptly and accurately identifying, documenting, and communicating the cardiac rhythm status of patients under observation to the registered nurse and physician. This position serves as the initial point of contact for patients utilizing their monitoring call buttons, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency in all interactions. The Technician fosters positive relationships among patients, families, and staff.

**Qualifications:**

  • BLS / Heartsaver certification

**Educational Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED

**Experience Requirements:**

  • Prior experience in healthcare roles such as Paramedic, EMT, Unit Clerk, Healthcare Clerical Associate, Unit Secretary, Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Experience in a specialized area is preferred
  • Completion of a cardiac rhythm course

**Work Schedule:**

  • Full-Time - 40 hours per week
  • Evening Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM, Night Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM
  • Scheduled shifts include every other weekend and holiday rotation
