Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Preston Mazda. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify repair needs
  • Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor to ensure accurate estimates
  • Communicate additional service requests to service advisor to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman to optimize repair efficiency
  • Provide labor estimates to service advisor to ensure transparency
  • Monitor repair time and update service advisor to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
  • Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in mentoring technician trainees to develop skills and knowledge
  • Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date with latest technologies
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
