About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist III to join our team at Sam's Club AI Lab. As a Data Scientist III, you will work closely with tech leads and scrum leads to deliver impactful business results through your data science competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
  • Combine models through ensemble modeling.
  • Present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.

About You

We are looking for a highly analytical individual with a strong foundation in machine learning theory and practice. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. Your ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate complex concepts will be key to your success in this role.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
  • Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
