Job SummaryThe Radiologic Technologist will work in a dynamic environment, performing and interpreting radiology exams under the guidance of a radiologist. The ideal candidate will be able to independently acquire the necessary exams for interpretation, operate radiological equipment, and work with patients in various age groups. Key responsibilities include exam room preparation, patient transportation, and documentation in the Radiology Information System.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, educating them on exam prep instructions.
- Provide professional age-specific interaction with patients, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
- Administer contrast agents using aseptic techniques, documenting procedures in patient charts.
- Collaborate with other imaging departments to coordinate patient care and flow.
- Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Radiology Program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Radiologic Technologist (RT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- 3+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred, with willingness to train.
- Other modalities certifications preferred, with willingness to train.
