Service Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Writer to join our team at Midas. As a Service Writer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our operations by providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and overseeing the work of our technicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening to and consulting with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Oversee complete vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations to customers, including building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts.
- Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers, promoting shop service specials and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage and direct automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including overseeing inspections, diagnosing, and repairing domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and be responsible for any inventory losses.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental compliance.
- Update and submit daily sales reports to Corporate.
- A minimum of 2 years of service writer experience.
- General automotive knowledge.
- Excellent customer service disposition.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong POS computer and Internet skills.
- Team building skills.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license.
