Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food & Nutrition Associate to join our team at Friendship Public Charter School. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff by providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of a variety of food in quantity, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Participate in the more specialized preparation and/or serving of foods, including preparing main dishes and baked goods, vegetables, salads, desserts, and other dishes.
  • Assist and participate in the operation of the speed-line, including preparation and serving various food items.
  • Assist in requisitioning, receiving, and storing of foods and supplies, estimating quantities required.
  • Assist in taking inventory and completing the Daily Worksheet.
  • Maintain proper care of equipment and sanitation of the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate assorted equipment, including grills and fryers, and serve as Point of Service/Cashier.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience in the preparation and serving of food, dealing with the public, or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
  • Demonstrate dependability, cleanliness, and patience.
