Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Marriott International Inc. as a key member of our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our guests, ensuring a high level of quality and service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer, to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the storage and handling of liquor, beer, and wine.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of guests, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling payments.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a bartending or hospitality role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including their origins, production methods, and pairing suggestions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping, and standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in a hospitality or bartending role.
  • Knowledge of mixology techniques and ingredients.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
