Compensation
To attract top talent, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a sign-on bonus of $3,000.

Key Responsibilities
The role of the Periodontal Surgical Assistant is vital in ensuring superior patient care and achieving optimal clinical outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction and managing intravenous lines.
  • Completing necessary documentation and facilitating preoperative and postoperative care.
  • Verifying patient identities and surgical sites.
  • Engaging in discussions with the surgeon regarding the surgical procedure, including consent and exposure methods.
  • Maintaining aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
  • Ensuring an unobstructed operative field using surgical retractors, sponges, and suctioning equipment.
  • Assessing the availability of required equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Obtaining and inspecting both sterile and non-sterile surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Operating sterilization devices and monitoring patient status during surgery.
  • Obtaining dental radiographs and completing clinical narratives for patients.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within one month of hire).
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • DAANCE certification and a licensed dental assistant status are preferred.
  • Radiology certification is also preferred.

Sign-On Bonus Structure
As part of our commitment to attracting and retaining exceptional talent, we offer a sign-on bonus of $3,000. This bonus is structured as follows:

  • 50% of the bonus will be paid after successfully completing 30 days of employment.
  • The remaining 50% will be provided upon successful completion of 90 days.
