Job Title: Freelance Production Assistant

As a Freelance Production Assistant at NBCUniversal, you will play a vital role in supporting our production team in various phases of sports content creation. Your responsibilities will include researching players and teams, assisting with editing and preparing scripts, and contributing to the creation of engaging sports content for our viewers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on players, teams, stories, and statistics to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Assist production personnel in all phases of production, including editing, script preparation, and coordination.
  • Support in creating graphics, logging video footage, and researching statistics for display on tickers.
  • Continuously enhance skills necessary to autonomously assume various roles in sports production, such as editing sports television and/or video segments.

Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of both local and national sports.
  • Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive understanding of sports statistics and abbreviations.
  • Proficient in grammar and spelling skills to ensure accuracy and clarity in written communications.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in written form, to effectively convey information and ideas.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional business hours.

This role is onsite at our New York City headquarters. In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated hourly rate for this role is $19.00 - $22.50 commensurate with experience.
