Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and modification of assigned equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy construction equipment and crane operation, with a strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air systems.

Responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, establishing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures, and coordinating maintenance work with yard supervisors and outside vendors.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate professionally with supervisors and employees, and perform work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage equipment maintenance and repair activities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
  • Coordinate maintenance work with yard supervisors and outside vendors
  • Monitor schedule and budget on active equipment work
  • Collect and maintain equipment records

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy construction equipment field
  • 1+ years of experience with cranes
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficient skills in standard office software packages
  • Ability to work flexible schedule with additional hours as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to tolerate working on the water, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels
  • Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted
