Area Sales Manager

Hood Container Corporation is expanding its sales team to support its corrugated business and is seeking a collaborative Area Sales Manager to support its corrugated converting facilities in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to support business objectives.
  • Lead a team of Account Executives, including goal setting, skills development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement sales business objectives and plans.
  • Align sales strategy with business needs and collaborate with the sales team to drive sales, grow market share, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Interact and proactively communicate with all levels of leadership across the company and enforce communication between all departments in the plant to increase efficiency.
  • Prepare annual sales budget forecasts.
  • Prospect for new, profitable accounts and service existing accounts through regular contact.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Sales Rep or Account Executive generating sales for a manufacturing site.
  • Experience in a Management Role within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience in the Corrugated Industry.
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking skills to problem solve and make informed business decisions.
  • Driven mindset with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Demonstration of dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with all types of personalities.
  • Adaptability is key as you will need to navigate and demonstrate flexibility in an environment that can be ambiguous and uncertain.
