We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Statistical Analyst Intern to join our team at Sandia National Laboratories. As a member of our Statistical Sciences and Statistics & Data Analytics departments, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that involve statistical analysis and methodology development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform statistical analysis and data interpretation to inform decision-making
  • Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide statistical expertise and support
  • Conduct research and development to improve statistical techniques and methods
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program or scheduled to graduate in the spring
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, MATLAB, or Python
  • Knowledge of statistical software and tools such as SAS or SPSS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE-Q clearance
