As a paid Summer Intern on the Engineering Track, Structure, and Services Team, you'll collaborate with seasoned professionals on essential projects, enhancing our infrastructure's safety, efficiency, and reliability.

You'll enhance your technical skills and gain invaluable insight into the operations of one of North America's leading railroad companies through this immersive experience.

Our Summer Internship Program aims to recruit students into our Management Trainee Program, offering a direct pathway to join us after graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct our track infrastructure
  • Plan and schedule required maintenance and repairs
  • Expand and update BNSF infrastructure and oversee projects that interact with BNSF property
  • Manage finances and schedules of projects and communicate with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Engineering
  • Less than three years of professional work experience, excluding internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing your undergraduate and/or graduate degree
  • Access to reliable transportation for the duration of the internship
