Job Summary:

Alsym Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cell Test Technician to join our team. As a Cell Test Technician, you will be responsible for owning and running the cell testing process, working closely with engineers, scientists, and other technicians to ensure quality control tests on incoming cells, start tests, and perform maintenance on testers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive cells from internal customers, perform QC screening, and start tests
  • Supervise the status of cells tests and keep requestors informed of the testing status
  • Communicate with cell builders to understand the scope of testing required
  • Coordinate with cell builders and the rest of the test team to establish priorities within the test room
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues
  • Small-scale assembly of materials such as cabling or thermocouples
  • Handle shipping and receiving of cells and other test-related equipment through courier
  • Work towards writing test procedures alongside engineers
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in a battery test lab
  • Familiarity with battery test procedures (Maccor, Arbin, or Neware)
  • Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and good mechanical skills
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and basic electrical tools (multimeter, soldering iron, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
