Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Synectics Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

About Us

Synectics Inc is a small, contract food manufacturer with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a 70,000 sq. ft. facility and have a diverse range of customers across the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure the human safety is the top priority in all operations and material handling, reinforce a culture that puts safety first, and work with QA Manager to develop processes that prevent food safety issues.
  • Production Management: Oversee the production process, including scheduling, workflow, and documentation, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to production staff, lead by example, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement, develop and implement solutions, and drive results-oriented initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, engineering, business), or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing industry, with at least 6 years in a leadership or management role, preferably as a manufacturing supervisor.
  • Skills: Proven track record of improving manufacturing efficiency, excellent communication and leadership skills, proficiency in ERP systems, PM systems, and Microsoft Office, and experience with CI principles and data analytics.
