Destination Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Destination Services Manager to join our team at Visit Seattle. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional convention services to our clients, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for meeting and convention attendees.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert convention services to definite in-house and convention center groups, acting as a liaison between our Visit Seattle partners and meeting planners, convention attendees, and visitors.
- Create customized "Seattle" experiences for our clients, driving positive economic impact for our partners and the city.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Seattle, King County, Washington State, and the Pacific Northwest region, identifying unique and impactful enhancements for groups.
- Communicate effectively with Visit Seattle partners, meeting planners, and convention attendees, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of events.
- Represent Visit Seattle at company and client-sponsored events, promoting our destination and services.
- Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required.
- 2+ years of customer service and/or convention services experience in a hotel, DMO, convention and meeting facility, or destination management company.
- Experience in reporting project milestones and data to key stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills and positive attitude on the phone, via email, and face-to-face.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent customer-centric instincts.
- Curiosity and inquisitiveness to fully capture group history and future wants and needs.
- Able to identify and effectively resolve conflicts.
- Proven ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Seattle, King County, Washington State, and the Pacific Northwest region preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and establish quick and meaningful relationships with internal and external groups.
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and self-motivation.
- Effective problem solver.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, the primary language used in the office.
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
