Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Thermal Asset Management will play a critical role in maximizing the profitability of Invenergy's operating renewable and thermal assets. This position will be responsible for developing annual budgets, performing financial analyses, and coordinating with site-based and corporate O&M staff to optimize asset performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for generation asset projects, including financial metrics such as EBITDA, distributions, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Provide input and review of pro-forma financial models for generation assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop reports on asset generation project performance for investors and lenders, highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with the performance engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance, identifying areas for optimization and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Participate in contract development with outside vendors, from soliciting quotes to supporting final contract negotiation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Economics) and coursework in Finance or Accounting.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of financial metrics and analyses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Some travel required, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the energy industry, with a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and market trends.
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR, DCF models).
