About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, ensuring the smooth execution of operations.
  • Set up and operate various types of equipment used in the operating room, including tables, cameras, microscopes, and instrument pans.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, utilizing proper lifting and pushing/pulling techniques.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and interpersonal skills, working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull with 30 lbs. of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
