Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sales Account Representative to join our team as a Field Sales Professional. In this role, you will determine and present the appropriate Grainger Value Proposition to each account, reviewing how Grainger can add value and help with each account's purchasing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field, and ensures delivery of a sales plan that meets performance targets.
  • Maintain account and customer contact, recording follow-up details in Grainger's CRM.
  • Take a proactive approach to increasing sales with each account, utilizing a wide array of available communication channels to maximize purchasing with Grainger through all sales/service channels.
  • Be responsive to customers' real-time needs.
  • Grow revenue to reported thresholds.
  • Achieve or exceed shared metrics of daily calls, customer face time minutes.
  • Report accurate information on overall results of customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities, negotiate sales, manage needs, and cost requirements.
  • Report to the Field Sales Manager.
Requirements
  • 1 or more years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED, two or four year degree.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and have occasional overnights (dependent on territory).
