Job Title: SIC Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team for a project in DeSoto, KS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches, and building plans to ensure accurate installation of electrical systems.
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Prepare layouts, using voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders to ensure efficient installation.
  • Terminate panels using LOTO procedures to ensure safe and secure connections.
  • Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
  • Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit to ensure efficient electrical system installation.
  • Understand motor controls and metering to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system operation.
  • Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.
  • Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system operation.
  • Review and compare differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system installation.
  • Follow directions, plans, and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system installation.
  • Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system operation.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings to ensure accurate and efficient electrical system installation.
  • Lift and carry objects of varying weights to ensure safe and efficient electrical system installation.
  • Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication to ensure effective collaboration with team members and customers.
  • Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC to ensure safe and efficient electrical system installation.
  • Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times to ensure safe and efficient electrical system operation.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds to ensure safe and efficient electrical system installation.

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.

Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.

Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.

Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
