Job Summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division is seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electric transmission and distribution lines. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power grid.

Responsibilities

* Construct, install, and maintain electric transmission and distribution lines
* Work with and mentor helpers and apprentices to ensure their safety and on-the-job training
* Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission line construction, including electrical apparatus such as single-phase transformers, three-phase transformer banks, voltage testing, rotation, and regulators, and line switching, clearance procedures, and grounding
* Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
* Travel as required

Qualifications

* Successful completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman program or equivalent experience
* 5 years of recent experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction, with supervisory experience and ability to assist foremen with daily tasks
* Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain
* Successfully pass DOT physicals/drug tests as required
* Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) drug test and MVR check
