At Sysco, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and light-duty vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues on medium and heavy-duty trucks.
- Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and converter dollies.
- Mentor and train junior technicians to aid in their development and ensure the success of our team.
- Perform moderate supervisory roles when the Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors are not available.
- 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
- ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
- Expert knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment.
- Expert knowledge and skill in Preventive Maintenance Inspections and repair.
- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment and work in confined spaces.
The Fleet Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors, and may be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The associate may occasionally be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate.
