About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Toole Design Group. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality multimodal transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex transportation projects
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure projects are being executed according to plan
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure long-term success
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional engineering license
  • 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on roadway design and multimodal transportation
  • 2+ years of experience in a project or design management role
  • Experience preparing transportation and local agency permit documents
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads
  • Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
  • Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates
  • Experience working on engineering projects in agencies such as PennDOT, City of Pittsburgh, and City of Philadelphia
