About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA. As a member of our Waste Management Practice, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to solid waste landfill and transfer station facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Support in-office and field activities, including engineering tasks such as data tabulation, report compilation, stormwater management system design, and landfill gas collection system design.
  • Conduct Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) tasks, such as monitoring and documenting landfill cell, cap, and gas collection system construction, and use of equipment for monitoring landfill emissions.
  • Interact and communicate with CEC office and field staff, clients, and contractors.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or design experience a plus.
  • Local candidates preferred.
