Automotive Solutions Specialist

The Automotive Integrator Representative will play a pivotal role in driving Amphenol TPC Wire & Cable's market position by collaborating with OEM integrators to specify differentiated solutions into new automotive systems/lines in the early design phase. Successful representatives in this role will guide the company's product and capabilities development according to customer and market needs, resulting in securing high-value-add, non-commodity market share.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of all OEM automotive integrator projects supporting defined automaker logos.
- Independent assessment of the automotive integrator landscape for defined logos and mapping of the ecosystem to identify key integrator target customers.
- Driving pre-sales technical discussions, solution development, proposal, presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations, as well as ongoing program management.
- Collaboration with direct manager and Strategic Account Manager (SAM) on opportunities to drive growth and support key business strategies.
- Maintenance of comprehensive reporting of all integrator projects: upcoming, existing, and historical, including overall potential value, targeted or won solutions/products, and ecosystem mapping.
- Development of strong customer relationships with key engineers/technical staff, procurement staff, and decision makers.
- Management of a highly consultative, complex sales cycle; well-versed in articulating the value our solutions bring to our customers.
- Negotiation and closure of business to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Maintenance of full and current pipeline reporting in SalesForce CRM.
- Forecasting of future revenue, business development opportunities, and market trends.
- Collaboration with field sales representatives (FSR) and the Automotive SAM to drive projects, share market knowledge, contacts, and coordinate product specification to add differentiated value to the automotive segment and drive revenue growth beyond market performance.
- Other duties as assigned and agreed.
- Automotive industry experience is necessary for this role.
- 5+ years outside sales experience.
- Proven record of accomplishment of meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
- Track record of independent strategic plan development and implementation.
- Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated success selling custom engineered solutions in a commodity market.
- Ability to embrace change.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial systems, or related degree (or equivalent experience).
- Industrial wire and cable sales experience.
- Experience selling OEM automotive integrator solutions to automaker logos.
