Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at Pkaza. Our organization specializes in engineering design and commissioning services, focusing on MEP critical facilities. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions that enhance reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainable design for our clients in the critical facilities sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute automation design initiatives, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their development in controls design and implementation.
  • Design and deploy front-end platforms tailored for HVAC control systems.
  • Enhance and standardize configuration, programming, networking, and diagnostic protocols.
  • Engineer and implement control programming to align with operational sequences and methodologies.
  • Oversee the design and integration of control systems for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain and update existing control system applications, demonstrating autonomy in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with leading automation technology providers to leverage cutting-edge solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design and operational standards for automation systems.
  • Review and validate engineering drawings and submittals, ensuring compliance with operational sequences.
  • Participate in design reviews focused on building automation systems.
  • Assist in the configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of building automation networks.
  • Understand and implement IT/OT interface requirements, including networking components.
  • Evaluate and integrate industry best practices into critical environment programs.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and training resources.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including subcontractors and project managers, to communicate project progress.
  • Contribute to project reporting and documentation efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in data center engineering with a focus on automation and controls.
  • Proven track record in integrating PLC/ALC systems within mission-critical facilities.
  • 5-10 years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Familiarity with control products from leading manufacturers such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, and Honeywell.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings and control diagrams.
  • Experience in programming PLC/ALC systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment design and controls, including chillers and air handlers.
  • Proficient in common BAS protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel minimally as required.
