Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational buyer team to achieve best-in-class results
  • Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing to develop supplier continuous improvement and capabilities
  • Monitor and improve supplier quality targets and KPIs
  • Report quality problem suppliers
  • 8D reports for quality checks resulting in any deviation from the specification
  • Determine and implement quality checks
  • Support quality inspection technicians
  • Approve production processes or similarity classes
  • Evaluate when product can be used as an exception despite a deviation from the specification
  • Contribute to and be responsible for Quality and Environmental awareness throughout the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving experience using systematic approaches: Six Sigma, root cause analysis, 8D

The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,000 - $120,000 based on a full-time schedule. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
