Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Healthpro Heritage, LLC. As a School-Based Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services to students in a school setting.
Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy treatments to students according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
- Observe, record, and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on students as directed by the therapist.
- Assist with admission screening and consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
- Participate in in-service programs and other meetings as assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
- Access continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical currency.
- Adhere to company and facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
- Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
- Prefer experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Occupational Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility.
