Job Overview

Antenna Research Associates Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative technologies for the national security community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a passion for hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical instruments, equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, installation, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Attending a two-year or four-year college with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge of design and construction of microwave antennas, including reflectors and horns, dipole and patch antennas, arrays, and omni-directional antennas.
  • Experience in test methods and antenna trouble is a plus.
