Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the role of Medical Director, Provider Experience. This position demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare leadership and a commitment to enhancing patient care.
Essential Qualifications
- Possession of a Doctorate in Medicine or an Advanced Practice degree from an accredited institution, with verification of education.
- Active medical licensure in the designated region is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in progressive leadership roles within a healthcare delivery system or a large multi-specialty medical group.
- Current privileges or eligibility for credentialing at relevant healthcare facilities.
- Proven ability to lead effectively and collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical personnel.
- Exemplary character, integrity, and a strong commitment to the mission and values of Intermountain Healthcare.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Desired attributes include: fostering trust and respect among peers, adeptness in team building and partnership development, conflict resolution skills, ability to articulate vision and inspire others, enthusiasm for change, and a proactive approach to action and delegation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- A recognized national reputation and network that can facilitate partnership opportunities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate verbally and comprehend spoken information effectively.
- Proficiency in operating computers, telephones, and office equipment, requiring dexterity of hands and fingers.
- Capability to see and read from computer screens and documents.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while performing tasks.
- Frequent interactions with healthcare providers, patients, and visitors necessitating effective verbal communication and rapid response to urgent situations.
- Manual dexterity for handling complex and delicate medical equipment with precision.
